The Respect Soccer Round Robin brings young people from diverse backgrounds together to play a friendly game of soccer. It is an opportunity for youth to connect with each other; make new bonds of friendship; get exposure to different cultures, beliefs and ethics; and to challenge their own assumptions, prejudices and stereotypes. This event aims to raise awareness of the importance and need for respect especially in community building. The Respect soccer round-robin concept was born from the collaborative efforts of The Manningham Youth Interfaith network and Victoria Police over four years ago as a healthy way to encourage collaboration and create friendships through sports, where teamwork is the cornerstone for success. We hope that through the success of the Respect soccer round-robin, we can lead to the positive transformation of our neighbourhoods. Visit the website to register your interest.
