Project Variation Forms
In the event that your organisation has been awarded funding through the Community Grants Program, and you anticipate significant changes to your proposed event, program or project, you will need to apply for approval of these changes by completing a Project Variation Form.

Community Grants Information Sessions and Grant Writing Workshops
To assist communities access multicultural community funding opportunities, the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC) offered Grants Information Sessions followed by grant writing workshops across regional and metro areas of Victoria in October and November.
The Grants Information Sessions ran for approximately one hour and covered:
- the current grant categories open for funding and who is eligible to apply;
- key considerations when preparing your application;
- how to use the online application system – Smartygrants; and
- an opportunity for questions.

2012-13 Multicultural Senior Citizens Organisational Support Grants Program
Applications for the 2012-13 Senior Citizens Organisational Support grants program closed at 5pm on Monday 12 November. If your organisation is currently receiving a Seniors Citizens Organisational Support grant in 2012-13 as part of a three year funding agreement, you do not need to re-apply for this grant. If you are unsure about the status of your organisation, please contact the Community Grants Program on 03 9651 0653 or 03 9651 0629.
It is anticipated that applicants will be advised of the outcome of their funding application in late December 2012.

Public Liability Insurance for Multicultural Senior Citizens Organisations
All Multicultural Senior Citizens Organisations currently receiving a Multicultural Senior Citizens Organisational Support Grant are eligible to apply for public liability insurance coverage for 2013. Public Liability Insurance is not automatically awarded and organisations need to apply via the the attached form. Certificates of insurance will be provided in December 2012 to all groups who are eligible and have made an application.

Who is eligible?
In order to receive a grant from VMC, and most other funding bodies, your group will need to:
- be incorporated as separate entities registered with the Office of Consumer Affairs Victoria or be auspiced by an incorporated group;
- have an Australian Business Number (ABN). Application forms for ABN can be obtained at the Australian Taxation Office.
Accountability Reports
An accountability report must be completed once the funding money provided by VMC or VMC has been spent. It includes details of what items or services were purchased with the funds and the events or programs it supported. Go to Accountability Report page.
