Applications for the Community Grants Program 2014-15 have now closed. All applicants will receive written correspondence advising  of the outcome of their grant application in early July 2014. Multicultural Community Infrastructure Fund

Provides funding to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) community organisations and local councils to restore or construct community facilities used by CALD communities and enhance streetscapes in cultural precincts across Victoria.

Peak Multicultural Organisations Grants Program

Assists peak multicultural organisations in their core operations, program development and/or strategic planning activities, with a particular focus on investing in rural and regional Victoria.

Cultural Precincts and Community Infrastructure Fund

Provides funding to culturally and linguistically diverse community organisations for the restoration or construction of community-owned facilities, and to local councils across Victoria to enhance cultural precincts.

Promoting harmony: Multifaith and Interfaith

Provides funding to projects that bring that bring together different faith and community groups to promote social cohesion, understanding and acceptance among Victoria’s diverse faith communities and within the wider Victorian community.

Buildings and Facilities Improvement Grants

Assists ethnic community organisations to undertake minor upgrades or improvements to buildings and/or facilities that they own.

Provides financial assistance for the general costs associated with running community organisations.

Provides funding support to out-of-hours ethnic schools within Victoria.

Strengthening Multicultural Communities Grants

Supports community organisations to undertake projects that address the unmet needs of Victoria's CALD communities.

Unity Through Partnerships Grants

Provides funding of up to $100,000 for projects undertaken in partnership by two or more of Victoria’s diverse ethnic, cultural and religious communities, that culminate in a public festival, event or gathering. Administered by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship.

Multicultural Festivals and Events Grants

Supports major festivals, conferences and special ethnic community events that encourage the participation of the broader community in celebrating and valuing cultural diversity.

Multicultural Senior Citizens Organisational Support Grants

Supports ethnic senior citizens clubs to hold regular social and community strengthening activities.

In accordance with commitments outlined in the Victorian Liberal Nationals Coalition Plan for a Multicultural Victoria, a number of policy and program functions
formerly located within the VMC have been transferred into the new Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship (OMAC) within the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
