Award categories include:
· Premier’s Award for Victorian Senior of the Year

· Healthy and Active Living Award
· Veteran Community Award; and
· Promotion of Multiculturalism Award
The Promotion of Multiculturalism Award is given to an individual for making a significant contribution to promoting the benefits of cultural diversity in their local community or in the broader community.
A diverse range of people are nominated for the awards each year, recognising the enormous contribution that older volunteers make to Victoria..
Last year’s recipients were commended for their roles in health and wellbeing, veterans affairs, education, local neighbourhoods, social justice, land care and their contributions to older people’s organisations. They are advocates, mentors, educators, role models, committee members, leaders and behind-the-scenes workers, all providing valuable support to many organisations and the broader community.
