Everyday-Law is a website designed to help Victorians deal easily with legal issues with access to reliable and easy-to-understand legal information all in the one spot.
Developed by the Victoria Law Foundation, the aim of the website is to give people an awareness and understanding of legal issues and their rights, together with the confidence to deal with disputes and access the justice system.
Everyday-Law includes up-to-date legal information on a variety of topics including, work and employment, family and relationships and discrimination
The Victoria Law Foundation collaborated with over 150 Victorian and Commonwealth organisations to create a comprehensive and reliable legal resource. All content on the site has been reviewed by legal specialists and has been selected according to Victoria Law Foundation's editorial guidelines.
You can use the site to:
· find legal information on common legal topics
· get professional legal help
· find a free or low-cost legal service in your local area
· understand how Victoria's courts and legal system works
· get legal tips on common legal issues via an online blog, and
· stay informed about events about the law.
Everyday-Law was awarded a prestigious ClearMark Award in 2015 for excellence in communication from the Centre of Plain Language based in Washington DC, USA.
