Festival of Light is a multicultural celebration of peace and harmony inspired by Buddha's Birthday. From 11am to 4pm visitors are invited to view the large collection of Buddhist relics, bathe the baby Buddha, join in a guided tour to the Great Stupa and surrounds, see the beautiful replica of the Jade Buddha statue and participate in workshops and meditations. The highlight of the event - The light and fireworks show beginning at 5:30pm. Multicultural music and dance performances on stage are accompanied by beautiful coloured lights and images projected onto the Great Stupa. Experience performances such as Vietnamese dancing, Korean drumming, chanting by a Tibetan monk, Aboriginal didgeridoo, Indonesian puppet show and raising of the 'Peace Flags'. The night ends with a brilliant show of fireworks. Book online www.stupa.org.au
