New in-language videos about home renting for newly arrived communities

Consumer Affairs Victoria has released a series of videos in Swahili, Arabic, Karen and Dari to explain tenant rights and responsibilities for growing Iraqi, Syrian, Karen and Congolese communities.

Aimed at assisting newly arrivals, the materials have been translated into languages which are spoken in the top five countries of birth for people granted humanitarian visas in Victoria.

The animated videos are designed to help new migrants and refugees understand a range of important topics about renting such as starting and ending a lease, bonds, condition reporting and repairs.
