Multicultural Youth Network Annual Report released

The Multicultural Youth Network’s (MYN) 2016-17 Annual Report is now available online.

The report documents the MYN’s work during its ninth term from April 2016 to April 2017, as well as the work of the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s Youth Commissioner, who chairs the group.

MYN members work to increase the inclusion of young people from diverse backgrounds in Victoria, and build their skills and capacity to be involved with government and the decision-making process.

Some of the highlight activities of MYN members in the report include hosting the Youth Mental Health Matters forum during National Youth Week 2017, participating in the Victorian Government’s first Youth Summit, facilitating a discussion on the current debate about crime and young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds and sharing their personal stories to raise awareness at universities and festivals.
