Call for new players at Masala Football Club

Masala Football Club (Masala FC) is looking for players to be part of a new multicultural football team.

Anyone is welcome to join the team, including people from asylum seeker and refugee backgrounds.

Masala FC can teach new players the basics and the rules of the game and aims to provide a fun, friendly and safe community for those who would like to play, learn about or otherwise get involved in local football, as well as get some exercise and make friends along the way.

Based at Fotheringham Reserve, Dandenong, the club engages culturally diverse communities in Melbourne's outer southeast.

Pre-season training is being held from 6.30pm – 8.00pm (January – April), and Tuesday and Thursday during the season (April – September). Games are played on Saturdays and home and away games are played mostly in the eastern suburbs.

Masala FC is part of the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) league within the Division 4 competition, a low division of amateur football.

For more information or to join the club visit the Masala FC Facebook page, email or call Masala FC Community Engagement Officer Matt Decarne on 0425 619 677.
