New translated health and welfare service explainers

Victoria’s multicultural communities can now access more health and welfare information in their language with the addition of new resources to the Health Translations Directory.

Information from Centrelink on topics like childcare assistance, the aged pension, concession cards, child support, youth allowance and Austudy and information about Medicare is now offered in a broad range of languages through the directory.

A new ‘Where do I go when…’ community service guide to Melbourne’s northern suburbs is also available in English and Arabic, which was developed in consultation with newly-arrived Syrians and Iraqis.

The directory also holds thousands of other resources on a range of health issues, including topical subjects like flu shots and lung health.

Find all resources on the Health Translations Directory, managed by the Centre for Culture, Ethnicity and Health on behalf of the Victorian Government.
